Should we not shout, "Allelulia!"?

Shrouded crosses
No shouts of Alleluia

We make Lent a somber season
Mourning before He's dead

If our aim is to draw closer to God,
As we prepare to celebrate the amazing events of Easter,
Then why are we so sad?

And if we are to examine our sins
And repent
Then why are we so dreary?

In true repentance there is
Joy
Grace
Forgiveness
and New Life!!

And at such a time,
Should we not shout -
"ALLELUIA!"?
